Old Fashioned – How To Mix

The main alcohol for Old Fashioned is Whiskey which is given additional flavor by adding bitter and some caster sugar. The drink is usually served in Old Fashioned glass or tumbler.

Some people make the drink by simply adding the required Whiskey, bitters and Sugar and give a quick stir but that is what we may call a cocktail in a hurry.

With this simple drink we recommend giving it a good stir to mix the ingredients properly.

In that way you can experience the blended taste which makes this drink the best.

To make Old Fashioned Cocktail, take some caster sugar in an Old Fashioned glass, add few dashes of Angostura Bitter and a splash of water to it.

Now, stir the mix until the Sugar is dissolved. You can also use Sugar cubes or sugar syrup if you have one.

Now, add half of Whiskey and 4 – 5 ice cubes to the glass and stir it for 30 – 45 secs.

Add remaining Whiskey and some more ice cubes and stir for a little. You can now see the light golden colour drink take its texture.
