Mojito – How to mix

Take 1/2 Fresh lime and cut it into 4 pieces.

Put these pieces in a Highball glass and then add Sugar to it. Use the Muddler to release the lime juice.

Do not press too hard else it will release too much bitterness of lime.

Just few gentle presses should do the work.

Now take 6 – 7 fresh mint leaves in your palm and clap to bruise the leaves. This helps release Mint leaves aroma.

Now put them into the glass and gently squeeze with the Muddler.

Again, Don’t press too much. Now add Rum to it.

Crush the ice cubes using a blender into small and medium pieces.

Do not fine crush them. Add crushed ice to the glass and fill it to half.

Now pour Soda water to fill the glass and add some ice cubes on top.

Recommendation

  • Do not press lime and fresh mints too much else it will make the cocktail bitter

Ingredients

Main Ingredients for Mojito

  • 60 ml Bacardi Carta Blanca
  • Soda Water
  • 10 Fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 Fresh Lime
  • 2 tsp Caster Sugar
  • Cubed Ice
  • Crushed Ice

Garnishing

  • Fresh Mint

Instructions

How to mix Mojito

    2 tsp Caster Sugar, 1/2 Fresh Lime

Notes

Some considerations while preparing the Mojito Cocktail –
  • Do not crush lime and mint too much else it will release a bitter taste which might not be good.
  • Do not finely crush the ice, a few small and medium pieces of crushed ice are good.
  • You can also rub a little bit on the outer rim of the glass with a mint just before serving. This will give that mint aroma to the drink
