Bacardi Rum Punch – How to Mix

Bacardi Rum Punch is a great cocktail that brings the exquisite taste of fruits juices and Bacardi rum.

The term punch may be loosely derived from a Hindi word – Panch which means five, basically referring to five or more ingredients used to make a punch drink.

Some people refer the term to be derived from English word puncheon i.e. large casks for liquids but basically a punch drink could be alcoholic or non-alcoholic and would be a mixture of fruits and similar ingredients.

You can make Bacardi Rum Punch with or without a shaker.

Many people prefer to stir it but we personally believe that to make this great party drink in-time and chilled it is better to shake it than stir, unless all you want is to keep making the cocktail than to go out and enjoy the party as well.

So via out method, just take all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with lots of ice and shake it well for 30 or 45 secs max.

Once done, pour Rum Punch into a cocktail glass and serve after garnishing with a lemon wedge or a wheel.

Well that is all that is required to make this perfect drink and in style. Also, you can do one more thing, just keep all the required juices squeezed and refrigerated so that when the time demands you have everything ready just to be shaken – just a little bit.

Now coming to the second, more traditional method of making Rum Punch.

In this method, you take all the ingredients in a large container and keep it refrigerated for 30 mins to an hour so your drink is chilled.

Now just before serving you take the mixture into a punch bowl and pour it into a cocktail glass filled with lots of ice.

Stir it a little before serving and garnish your Rum punch cocktail with a lemon wheel or a wedge.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients for Bacardi Rum Punch

  • 25 ml Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum
  • 10 ml Bacardi Carta Negra Rum
  • 5 ml Grenadine
  • 25 ml Orange Juice
  • 25 ml Pineapple Juice
  • 10 ml Cranberry Juice
  • 1 lemon sliced for garnishing
  • Lots of Ice Cubes

Instructions

How to mix Bacardi Rum Punch

  • Take all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake it for 30 seconds or so.
    25 ml Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum, 10 ml Bacardi Carta Negra Rum, 5 ml Grenadine, 25 ml Orange Juice, 25 ml Pineapple Juice, 10 ml Cranberry Juice, Lots of Ice Cubes
  • Pour the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice and gently stir it.
  • Garnish it with a lemon wedge and serve.
    1 lemon
