Pour milk in a clean utensil with thick base and put it on high flame to boil it.

Take White Rice in a bowl and rinse it with water.

Once the milk starts boiling, set the flame on low and add rice to it.

Now let the Rice Pudding cook in low flame for next 20 mins. Stir occasionally so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
Once the Rice becomes soft and the Milk will start becoming thick it is time to add Saffron threads and Cardamom Powder.
Few Saffron Threads, 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
Stir it for a couple of minute and now add Sugar to it. Stir until the milk becomes thick.
4 tbsp Sugar
Now add roasted nuts to it. Stir it for a minute and switch off the flame.
8 Cashew Nuts, 8 Almonds
Great job! Rice pudding aka Rice Kheer or simply Kheer is ready to be served hot or cold. Add chopped Pistachio and dried Coconut chips on top while serving.
