Mojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime juice, soda water, and fresh mint. Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball.

  • 1 Cocktail Spoon
  • 1 Highball Glass Long glass

Ingredients

Main Ingredients for Mojito

  • 60 ml Bacardi Carta Blanca
  • Soda Water
  • 10 Fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 Fresh Lime
  • 2 tsp Caster Sugar
  • Cubed Ice
  • Crushed Ice

Garnishing

  • Fresh Mint

Instructions

How to mix Mojito

  • Take 1/2 Fresh lime and cut it into 4 pieces. Put these pieces in a Highball glass and then add Sugar to it. Use the Muddler to release the lime juice.
    2 tsp Caster Sugar, 1/2 Fresh Lime
  • Take 6 - 7 fresh mint leaves in your palm and clap to bruise the leaves. This helps release Mint leaves aroma. Now put them into the glass and gently squeeze with the Muddler. Don't crush too much. Now add Rum to it.
    10 Fresh mint leaves, 60 ml Bacardi Carta Blanca
  • Crush the ice cubes using a blender into small to medium pieces. Do not fine crush them. Add crushed ice to the glass.

  • Now pour Soda water to fill the glass and add some ice cubes on top.

  • Now garnish by placing a sprig of Fresh mint on top to serve.

Notes

Some considerations while preparing the Mojito Cocktail -
  • Do not crush lime and mint too much else it will release a bitter taste which might not be good.
  • Do not finely crush the ice, a few small and medium pieces of crushed ice are good.
  • You can also rub a little bit on the outer rim of the glass with a mint just before serving. This will give that mint aroma to the drink
