Tom Collins is a cocktail which is made using Gin, Lemon Juice, Sugar Syrup and Soda Water. It is an easy drink and is preferred in Summers or during New year holidays.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients for Tom Collins

  • 50 ml Bombay Sapphire Gin
  • 100 ml Soda Water
  • 25 ml Sugar Syrup
  • 25 ml Lemon Juice
  • Lots of Ice

Garnishing

  • Lemon Wedge

Instructions

How to mix Tom Collins Cocktail

  • Take lots of ice in the Cocktail Shaker and add 50 ml of Gin to it.
    50 ml Bombay Sapphire Gin, Lots of Ice
  • Now, squeeze some fresh lemon and add lemon juice along with Sugar syrup to the Cocktail Shaker.
    25 ml Lemon Juice, 25 ml Sugar Syrup
  • Shake it vigorously for 20 - 30 seconds so the spirit and juice mix together properly.
  • Now strain it into a Collins glass filled with ice. Top it up with Soda Water and gently stir it with a Cocktail spoon.
    100 ml Soda Water
  • Tom Collins is ready to be served, but before that add a lemon wedge and serve it with a drinking straw.

Notes

Few considerations while preparing and serving the cocktail -
  • It is better to use freshly squeezed lemon juice to get the best flavour.
  • We used Bombay Sapphire Gin however you can use a Gin of your choice.
  • You can make it a bit stronger by making Gin double.
