Main Ingredients for Pineapple Raita
- 1 Cup Natural Yogurt
- 1/2 Cup Pineapple Pieces
- 4 tsp Sugar
- 1/8 tsp Cinnamon Powder

- 1/4 cup Pomegranate seeds
Preparation Steps to make Pineapple Raita
Peel outer layer or skin of Pineapple and cut it into small pieces. Remove core or stem part of Pineapple while cutting pieces as it is too hard.
1/2 Cup Pineapple Pieces
Take a bowl of water and add 1/4 tsp salt in it. Now soak Pineapple pieces in that bowl for 10-15 Mins.
How to make Pineapple Raita
Take Natural Yogurt in a large bowl. Add 1/8 cup water in it and mix it well.
1 Cup Natural Yogurt
Now drain the Salt water from Pineapple pieces. Add Pineapple pieces, Cinnamon powder and sugar to the Yogurt. Mix it well.
1/2 Cup Pineapple Pieces, 4 tsp Sugar, 1/8 tsp Cinnamon Powder, 1/4 cup Pomegranate seeds
Aha! Your Pineapple Raita is ready to be served. While serving you can sprinkle a pinch of Cinnamon Powder on top of it.
Few considerations while cooking and serving -
- Pineapple have some enzymes especially Bromelain which cause irritant feeling and sharp taste on your tough after eating it. Hence adding pineapple pieces in salt water for 10-15 min can solve this problem.
- Some people are allergic to Pineapple due to Enzymes hence please check if you or your guests are allergic to it.
- You can adjust Sugar quantity as per your taste.
- You can reduce Sugar considerably to make it more healthier dish.
- If you want to make Pineapple Raita thick then while preparing remove water from it.
