Ingredients

Main Ingredients for Banana Kheer

  • 2 Ripe Banana Kela
  • 2 cup Skimmed Milk
  • 1.5 tbsp Sugar Cheeni
  • 10 g Cashew nuts Kaju
  • 5 g Almond Badam
  • 3 g Pistachio Pista
  • 2 Cardamom Elaichi
  • Few Saffron threads

Instructions

Preparation Steps to make Banana Kheer

  • Pour Milk in a deep Pan and put it on flame to boil. Keep the flame on medium so that in the mean time you can do remaining preparation for Banana Kheer.
    2 cup Skimmed Milk
  • Chop one Banana into small slices and to make Banana Kheer thick mash the other Banana.
    2 Ripe Banana
  • Finely grind Cashew nuts, Almonds and Cardamom. This we will add in Milk while cooking Banana Kheer.
    10 g Cashew nuts, 5 g Almond, 2 Cardamom

How to make Banana Kheer

  • Once the milk starts boiling, stir the milk with a Spatula and put the flame on low.
    2 cup Skimmed Milk
  • Now add Saffron threads, grounded Cardamom and nuts into it and mix it well for 5 mins.
    10 g Cashew nuts, 2 Cardamom, Few Saffron threads, 5 g Almond
  • Once the Saffron will start giving its colour, you can add mashed Banana to the milk. Stir for a minute.
    2 Ripe Banana
  • Now add, sliced Banana and sugar to the milk and stir it for another 2 - 3 mins.
    2 Ripe Banana, 1.5 tbsp Sugar
  • Turn off the flame as the Banana Kheer is ready.
  • To serve Banana Kheer, you can add chopped Cashew, Almond and Pistachio nuts on top. Serve hot or cold in dessert bowls and enjoy!
    10 g Cashew nuts, 5 g Almond, 3 g Pistachio

Notes

Few recommendations -
  • Banana Kheer tastes equally good when served hot or cold.
  • Do not overcook Banana Kheer once the chopped Bananas have been added as this may spoil the dish.
  • Banana Kheer can be used as baby food but for that you should remove any nuts and reduce sugar quantity. Ensure Banana Kheer is all mashed up while cooking. Take doctors advice before feeding to babies.
